Maintenance and upgrades for Rocket Software UniVerse.
Two services, delivered by engineers who work only on the MultiValue product line. Annual maintenance keeps a production system healthy; upgrade projects move it forward without disruption.
Software maintenance
Annual support agreement
As a Rocket Software reseller, we supply the annual maintenance for your UniVerse licences and provide first-line support under it. When your team hits a problem, they reach an engineer who already knows your system, your platform and your history with the product.
Diagnosis. We work the issue on a call with your team: reading logs, checking configuration, reproducing where possible, and narrowing the fault to a cause.
Guidance. Most issues are resolved by guiding your in-house staff through the fix. We work at the system level, on the database, its services and its configuration, and leave your application code to your own developers.
Workarounds. When a fix is not immediately available, we help you put a safe workaround in place so the business keeps running.
Escalation. Confirmed product defects are raised with Rocket Software as support tickets. We manage the ticket, supply Rocket with what they need, and track it to closure on your behalf.
Advice. Ongoing system-level guidance on performance, housekeeping, patch levels and release planning, so problems are caught before they become incidents.
Taking over an existing installation. Moving support for a UniVerse system to us is a normal engagement. We begin with a review of the environment and current release, then pick up first-line support from an agreed date, with no interruption to your operations.
Software upgrades
Fixed-scope projects
Upgrades are separate projects: moving UniVerse and the products around it to a newer release, planned around your change windows and executed with a rollback path at every stage.
- AssessmentReview your current release, operating platform, add-on products and any customisations that the upgrade could affect. Agree scope and a schedule.
- Test environmentUpgrade a non-production copy first. Your team verifies applications, interfaces and batch jobs against the new release.
- Production cutoverUpgrade the live system inside the agreed window, with a rehearsed rollback plan should anything block completion.
- Settling-in supportClose attention through the first weeks on the new release, then hand back to the regular maintenance arrangement.
